It’s winter squash season! Kan you say Kabocha….   This squash is bursting with nutrition, full of beta carotene, iron, vitamins A, C, fiber and some B vitamins and an anti-inflammatory food to boot.  It’s got 40 calories per cup AND less than half the carbs of most other squash.

Also this week is another order from Fresh Roots Urban Farm enjoy the last few bounties of the season! Fresh Roots provides hyper local, organic veggies grown on school sites throughout Vancouver.

Here is what to expect at the market this week:
