Market Day – August 16th

This little burst of rain has done wonders for our local urban farm partner, Fresh Roots, who will be providing us with their amazing, delicious, fresh veggies.

What is an Heirloom Tomato? An heirloom is generally considered to be a variety that has been passed down, through several generations of a family because of it's valued characteristics.

On top of that we will also be selling:

  • Blueberries (Grown in BC)
  • Cherries (Grown in BC)
  • Honeydew Melons (Grown in BC)
  • Strawberries (Organic)
  • Mangoes
  • Peaches (Grown in BC)
  • Broccoli (Grown in BC)
  • Corn (Grown in BC)
  • Red Onion (Grown in Washington)
  • Purple Potatoes (Grown in BC and Organic!)
  • Zucchini (Grown in BC and Organic)
  • Heirloom Tomatoes (Grown in BC)
  • Mini Cucumber (Grown in BC)

We will be at Brant Villa (2290 E. 25th Ave near Nanaimo Skytrain station) from 10:30am-12:30pm and at our newest market site: Kensington Community Centre (5175 Dumfries Street near Knight) from 2pm-4pm.
